When we know whose we are, we can walk confidently and securely in our God given purpose and excel in everything we do. We don’t have to rely on an affirmation or applause because our inner strength is rooted from the Father. This divine assurance provides grace to care for the people closest to us. The husband of the Proverbs 31 woman is noted to:
“trust in her [with secure confidence],
And he will have no lack of gain. She comforts, encourages, and does him only good
and not evil All the days of her life.” Proverbs 31:11-12 The Proverbs 31 woman is so secure with herself that she provides a safe place for her husband to trust his heart knowing he will be handled with genuine love and respect. Her trustworthiness, integrity and wise word choice provide him confidence to go out with his day and return home knowing she has the home taken care of - physically, spiritually and mentally.
He can share his inner feelings and seek advice from her without fear of judgement. He has no fear of trial and error as he leads his home because his heart is safely protected. In short, she provides an atmosphere of confidence, security and comfort not only for her husband but the people connected to her. Foolish women on the contrary take away from the home whether financially, materially or emotionally. Instead of building the home, they misuse resources and create a hostile environment for trust and growth. With godly wisdom and discernment we can mimic the actions and character of the Proverbs 31 woman by providing a pure space for our loved ones.
Today ask the Lord how you can better create an atmosphere of confidence and security for the people closest to you. Fellowship Question 1. Whether you are single or married, how do you provide an atmosphere of love, safety and security for the people closest to you?
