“She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies sashes for the merchants.”
Proverbs 31:24
The Proverbs woman confidently uses her natural and acquired gifts and talents to create and sell services and products. She foresees and seizes opportunities within the community for the well being of her household. Her products are well received and in demand by community merchants validating the quality products produced. She is fearless in her business pursuits and unafraid to put her sales hat on when needed.
Man encompasses God’s mind and creativity as he was created in His image. The Proverbs woman understands the same power that created the heavens and the earth reside within her enabling sound execution of ideas, services and products for financial gain. She does not limit business pursuits to her experience or educational background but uses wisdom to determine the most sustainable and profitable business ideas. Unbothered by fear, paralyzing one to stay stagnant, she capitalizes on the resources God has allocated to her to bring Him glory.
“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
Genesis 1:26-27 NKJV
As excellent woman living in the 21st century we not only have the mind of Christ but a technological advantage to bring about goods and services the world has not yet seen. It is to our household’s advantage to operate in faith, and not fear, as we pursue and start entrepreneurial endeavors. Half of the battle is won by just starting, learning and improving as one goes.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
II Timothy 1:7 NKJV
“Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.”
Habakkuk 2:2-3 NKJV
