“Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in time to come.”
Proverbs 31:25 NKJV
The Proverbs woman is fearless and joyful. Her confidence is a derivative of the Lord enabling her to fearlessly journey through life with grace and poise.
Her internal strength is a by product of imprinting the day praising the Lord before beginning other activities. As such, she laughs without fear of the future being grounded by the unconditional love of the Father. The influence of volatile economic and political climates do not drive fearful actions but propel her to make faith based decisions.
“The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.”
Psalms 28:7 NKJV
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.”
1 John 4:18 NKJV
The Proverbs woman is like a watchman constantly on guard for the well being of her household. She hearkens to the Lord’s voice before considering advice from self help books and wise counsel ensuring her household moves by the Spirit.
Have you ever heard the saying “If mama’s not happy, no one is happy?” This statement attests to the fact that women have a large impact on the attitude of people within the household. The Proverbs woman understands her feelings and emotions, though present, cannot produce a negative or nagging attitude as her household is dependent on her life giving spirit. She is watchful of her entire disposition including attitude, speech and body language.
“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.”
I Corinthians 16:13 NKJV
“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:”
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 NKJV
As excellent women we have a choice to accept fear or walk in joy and strength for the progression of our household. Acting on the latter places our dependence on an unchanging God in which our hope is anchored and not deferred. As we walk in strength and honor our household will do so as well.
