"Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised."
Proverbs 31:30 NKJV
As we grow more into Godly character and wisdom we become more confident in the ability to exercise the authority of God’s word. Our why provides the focus needed to take authority by declaring and standing on God’s word. They are interconnected for our dominion and should be exercised daily as we walk our God given paths.
Take time today practicing your authority. Write down spiritual areas you may be convicted in or see another person struggling with and speak God’s word over it. Don’t settle for saying it in your head or mumbling under your breath. Go to a private space and speak with authority! Cast down any argument the enemy may attempt to rise against your declaration. Push back is apart of the process however the more you practice your authority, the easier it becomes.
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
James 4:7
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Luke 10:19 NKJV
Example
If you struggle with speaking words of kindness or life filled words locate a scripture on the power of words (use Google, a concordance, this devotional, etc.). Then speak the word over yourself.
Scripture: “A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.” Prov 15:1
Declare: “Lord help me to respond softly to turn away wrath. I will not use harsh words which stir up anger.”
Boom. Complete this process over and over. By faith you will see the Word begin to work in your life. The key is yielding to the spirit of the Lord and the Word.
Remember to leave a comment. We will end the challenge with the final devotion tomorrow!
