The Proverbs 31 Woman Knows Her Spiritual Identity

Last week I was invited to be a guest speaker on the Fishbowl Radio Network Angela Duncan Show (you can check out the podcast here). During my personal devotion time with the Lord that morning, I heard the Lord say very clearly "Tell them to flee from the spirit of compromise. There is to be no compromise in your lives." The following scripture immediately came to mind:

"he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." James 1:8

Deuteronomy 28 lists how we will be blessed if we heed the voice of the Lord yet how many times as believers do we hear God's voice concerning one thing yet act in a different manner? This is where our faith is put test. As believers of Christ it is even more imperative now that we walk what we talk. Our beliefs, affirmations and scripture confessions must align with our behavior.

No one likes a hypocrite and neither does God.

"But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?" Luke 6:46

When we heed the voice of God during times of good or bad we can guarantee that we are going to come into the fullness of God. That’s not to say we won’t face trials and even persecution but we know by faith that the journey is not ours but the Lords. In the full submission of God is where we can lay down all false ideologies, experience freedom in Him, discover our spiritual identity and ultimately our life calling and purpose.

God creates the plans and all we have to do is follow. Whew! Isn't that freeing that we don't have to masquerade around in an image that the world created? We can experience the original intent of our being in the one who created us instead of trying to find her in the midst of the world. This will determine how we behave, speak and influence the people around us.

Jonathan McReynolds says it best in his song titled "Pressure":

"Jesus take from me all of the pressure to be someone that the world has made."

We don't have to settle for plan B when plan A was the plan from Day 1.

Flee the spirit of compromise.

Fully submit.

Discover your spiritual identity.

Live in Christ!
